52nd Annual Chamber Banquet to honor community leaders

NORFOLK, Neb. – An event is celebrating community leaders in northeast Nebraska.

The 52nd Annual Norfolk Chamber Banquet will be honoring Nebraska businesses, and this year’s theme is special.”

“Last year was really bad,” Chamber President Denise Wilkinson said. “Everybody knows we couldn’t do a lot of things. We had to cancel a lot of events, so this year our theme is ‘Pressure Creates Diamonds.’ So out of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re coming out as diamonds.”

Wilkinson says Governor Pete Ricketts will be in attendance.

“I’d love to say he’s coming because of the Norfolk Area Chamber, but I can’t,” Wilkinson said. “He’s coming because our community is doing amazing things with their vision and the growth of the city, the county, the government.”

The event will be held on April 22 at the DeVents Center. A dueling pianos performance and a $1,000 diamond necklace are just a few of the many parts to night.
