A 21-year-old Council Bluffs woman died Thursday evening in a crash east of Lake Manawa.
The crash was reported at 6 p.m. in the 4800 block of East Manawa Drive.
Council Bluffs police say it appears the woman lost control of her vehicle on a curve and slid sideways into oncoming traffic. Her vehicle was struck by an SUV.
The woman was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries.
The woman’s identity was being withheld pending notification of family.
