2021 fatalities already exceed 2020

LINCOLN - The Nebraska Department of Transportation reports 30 traffic fatalities in June, bringing the total to 104 so far in 2021.

The 2021 fatalities already exceed the total number in 2020. The June fatalities occurred in 22 fatal crashes and all but one was in a rural location.

Two June fatalities were pedestrians, two involved motorcycles and 10 of the vehicle occupants were not wearing seatbelts.
