WAYNE, Neb. - A building makeover in northeast Nebraska.
The music facility at Wayne State College is getting $11.9 million worth of renovations this fall.
Although the building will be unusable from September 2021 to November 2022, the Director of Band David Bohnert said the improvements will be long-lasting.
"This renovated facility will provide us with new curricular opportunities," said Bohnert. "But in addition to that, they provide a home that is safe and comfortable and one that we can be proud of really for quite some time."
Bohnert said the college has backed up the program, providing $8.7 million for the project.
He says he hopes the new look and expansions will help the school's recruiting in the future.
