114 pounds of ‘high-grade’ marijuana found during traffic stop on west edge of Lincoln

Authorities found 114 pounds of high-grade marijuana, a THC vaping pen and THC-laced cookies during a traffic stop on the west edge of Lincoln.
A 22-year-old Sioux City, Iowa, man was arrested after his 2014 Chevrolet Impala was stopped about 11 a.m. Friday because of a traffic violation, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said. The car was on eastbound Interstate 80 near the U.S. Highway 77 interchange. A deputy smelled the odor of raw marijuana coming from inside the Impala, Capt. Ben Houchin said.
The marijuana was found packaged in large plastic bags in several duffel bags, he said. The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, failure to have a drug tax stamp, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cash linked to a drug transaction, Houchin said.
