Mid-Day Host & Music Director  [email protected]

As far back as I can remember, being a radio deejay was what I always wanted to do. In fact, I can remember sneaking my parent's radio up to my bedroom and would listen all night long (until I would get caught)! I enjoyed scanning the am stations from around the US. My first radio job was in High School at our tiny little radio station in Aurora. After high school, I went to Kearney State and majored in broadcasting. There, I worked at our college station and at KRNY in Kearney. After a couple of years at KSC, I decided I wanted to concentrate on the broadcasting field and went to Brown Institute in Minneapolis. After graduation from Brown, I went to work in Garden City, KS at country station KKJQ. In 1984 I decided to move back to Nebraska. In 1985 I became the 6th person to win the "Supermouth" contest at KQKQ (Sweet 98) in Omaha, Ne. That put me on the air there for a year in top 40 radio. I also won a whole slew of prizes including trips, a car to drive for a year, clothes, etc.! From about 1986 to the mid 90's, I took a break from radio and worked as a record buyer at the Homer's Record stores in Lincoln and Omaha. In 1996, I got the radio fever again and landed a job at Froggy 98 in Lincoln, NE. While at Froggy 98, I had the great pleasure of working with "Jimmy Hoppa"…aka…Mike Flood. I enjoyed watching Mike build US92 into such a great radio station from the very beginning. Mike and I talked about my coming to work at US92, so, when my husband Patric graduated from the University, we moved to Stanton in 2001, and, have been here since. My husband Patric and I have two awesome children. Tommie was born in 1996 and Sally in 1998. Pat is a teacher and a coach at Stanton High School. I enjoy doing mid-days and being music director at US92. Most of my time is spent at kids sports and activities! I am a member of the Stanton Community Club and enjoy supporting our community. Join Kristi, middays from 10am-3pm on US92! She will get you through your workday with great country music, artist tidbits, a chance to win with the US92 Lunchbox...and, sometimes...even useless, but, entertaining stories and information! Make sure you check out the latest dishes in the US 92 Subway Country Café over the noon-hour with Kristi. If you're in your office cubicle, on the highway in your big rig... in the tractor ...or whatever you may be doing...make sure you take time for a Coffee Break Classic brought to you by the Karpet Shop each morning and afternoon as Kristi plays one of the vintage country hits in our library. She is the queen of country so tune in to Kristi Green on Today's Best Country...US92
