York Outlasts Aurora in Rainy Affair
York topped Aurora 51-20 on Friday night.

AURORA – Aurora hung tough with one of the state’s best for a half, but was unable to overcome a mix of rain and a dominant run game.

The No. 9 Huskies hosted No. 3 York and fell to the Dukes 51-20 after trailing 21-20 at halftime.

The game turned into the Simon Otte show. The senior rushed for 250-plus yards in the the second half and found the end zone three times to shut down any comeback hopes for the Huskies.

In the first half Garret Snodgrass rushed for a pair of touchdowns for York and Nick Weskamp hit Brady Danielson for a 47-yard score. Weskamp connected with Reid Hoffman late in the game for a cancellation TD.

Baylor Scheierman cthrew for all three Husker scores. The first two were to Cal Narber for 62 and 14 yards respectively. The final TD was a 22 yards toss to Jordan Stevenson.
