Roberta (Bert) Thompson, age 80, of Broken Bow, formerly of Anselmo, Ne. died September 8, 2017, at the Brookstone View Nursing Home in Broken Bow.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Broken Bow with Pastor Bill Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Ortello Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 12, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow with family present 5 pm to 7 p.m. Memorials may be offered to the Ortello Cemetery fund or Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Roberta was born on June 3, 1937, at Almeria, NE to James W. and Stella (Dunbar) McMillan. She was married to Maurice “Tuffy” Thompson on July 20, 1958.
Roberta is survived by her husband Maurice (Tuffy) Thompson of Broken Bow/Anselmo, 2 sons Jim (Cathy) Thompson of Milburn, Ne., and Mike (Beth) Thompson of Indianapolis, Indiana, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Loren (Jane) McMillan of Martin S. D.
Roberta was preceded in death by a brother Ted McMillan.
