Marvin Payne age 83 of Broken Bow died Saturday, March 17, 2018, at the Brookestone View Care Home in Broken Bow.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at 10:30 AM at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow with Caleb Sampson officiating. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM with the family greeting friends 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Govier Brothers Mortuary. Marvin Quinn Payne was born on January 1, 1935, near Berwyn, NE to George Allen and Vera Esther (Quinn) Payne. Marvin graduated from Mason City High School. He served in the US Army 1955-1957. He was married to Carole Archer on April 4, 1957, at Kearney, NE.
Marvin is survived by his wife Carole of Broken Bow, his son Steve (Holly) Payne of Broken Bow, his daughter Julie (Greg) Wright of Broken Bow, four granddaughters, and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Gordon Payne, and sisters; Melva Payne, Lois Armstrong, and Mardelle Brown.
