Tania Jenelle Stewart was born on December 6, 1973, in Broken Bow, Nebraska.  She attended Broken Bow Public Schools where she “wanted to try everything they offered”, which she did.  She especially liked band, choir, speech, Spanish, drama, and art,   Academically gifted, she also participated in all honors classes.  During the summers, she worked at numerous odd jobs including Grocery Kart, telemarketing, and Vet Care, as well as swimming with the Cosmos Swim Team.

Following graduation, she attended the University of Nebraska, earning a bachelor’s degree in English, with minors in both Spanish and Psychology. She went on to obtain her Juris Doctorate in 2000. She worked a short time for Southeast Community College in Lincoln before obtaining permanent employment as a legislative aide with the Nebraska Unicameral where she worked with several senators over the years. In 2012, she took a sabbatical for a year to work on writing a novel, a project which she had mostly completed with just the ending left unfinished.

She then began working off-site for Vet Care in Broken Bow managing lab results as well as helping Dr. Coleman with some writing and PowerPoint presentations.  In addition, she worked at the nonprofit CBMC, Inc. in Lincoln, helping organize events, and doing some writing and editing for articles members submitted. She also wrote devotionals herself that were sent all over the country.

Tania enjoyed her church fellowships, Bible studies, working with youth, writing, reading, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends. One of her best friends was Mocha, her cat, which she had with her for 15 years until Mocha’s death last May.

Tania had aspirations of someday traveling to Scotland and Italy, the ancestral countries of her parents.

She is survived by her parents, Doug and Radine Stewart of Broken Bow; her brother and sister-in-law, Tyson and Jerusha Stewart of Lincoln; grandmother, Dorothy Fiorelli; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Frank Fiorelli; and grandparents, Wayne and Maxine Stewart.
