Rickey Gene McAlevy Jr., 33 was born October 23, 1987 in Broken Bow to Tammy and Rickey McAlevy. He took his final breath August 24, 2021, surrounded by many who loved him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 4 pm at the Municipal Building in Broken Bow. Being an avid Nebraska Huskers football fan, Rickey would not want anyone to miss the game which is to held the same day as the memorial. The family askes those who attend the service to wear their Husker gear.
Rickey is survived by his ex-wife Kat and their three children, Gavin, Dani, and Eva. His mother Tammy, brothers Jason and Matthew, and his sister Mary along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, grandparents, close cousins, and friends that were treated like brothers and sisters.
Rickey Jr. had the biggest heart and was never shy about sharing his love. One of the most loyal people a person could know. It didn’t matter if you were a new friend, old friend, acquaintance or an “enemy” he always had your back! He loved many people in his short life but his children are undeniable his biggest love. He would shout out all of their milestones and accomplishments from the mountain tops so everyone knew he was proud of them.
He is preceded in death by his father Rickey and his sister Crystal along with other family members.
