Rev. Douglas Frank Jones age 83, of Broken Bow, NE passed away June 11, 2018, at the Broken Bow Care & Rehab Center in Broken Bow, NE.

Memorial services for Doug will be Friday, June 15, 2018, at 1:00 PM at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow, NE with Rev. Bill Williams officiating. A register book may be signed at Govier Brothers Mortuary.  Memorials may be given to Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL or the Diabetes Association. Doug was born November 7, 1934, in Pilger, NE to Frank and Mary (Crabtree) Jones. Doug attended Pilger High School, graduating in 1952. On November 11, 1954, he was married to Connie Jo (Easley). The couple moved to Lincoln shortly after their marriage, so Doug could start Ministry education at Nebraska Wesleyan College. They served the Denton Church while in Lincoln. After Doug graduated from Wesleyan they moved to Illinois to attend Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary. In 1965, Doug and Connie Jo returned to Nebraska and served Churches at Meadow Grove-Battle Creek, Weeping Water-Nehawka, York East Ave.-Benedict and Anselmo-Merna. They retired in 2003, serving the Oconto-Eddyville United Methodist Church. Doug fully retired in July 2016.

Doug is survived by, daughter Stefanie Bleich and significant other Chuck Smallcomb of Kearney, NE, son Ron Jones of Doniphan, NE, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Marilyn Tuttle and Collette Chaney of Norfolk, NE, brother-in-law Ron (Barb) Easley of Papillion, NE and lots of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Doug is preceded in death by his wife Connie Jo, his parents, father and mother-in-law Robert Edward and Wilma Georgia (Padgett) Easley, sister Marge Raasch, sisters-in-law Judy Bramer and Kay Kwhen, brothers-in-law Bob Easley and Jim Easley.
