Lorraine Margaret Thorn, a long-time resident of Ansley, Nebraska, passed away February 18, 2021 at the home of her daughter in Centennial, Colorado at the age of 78. Lorraine was born June 7, 1942 in Nelson, New Zealand to Richard and Ero (nee Bruce) Searle.
Lorraine moved to Nebraska in December 1969, with her now ex-husband Guy L. Thorn. She was a faithful and dedicated employee of Becton Dickinson (BD) and retired after 35 years.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents and brother (John Searle). She is survived by her children: Karyn (Frank Parrish) Thorn of Los Angeles, California, Dean (Julie) Mitchell of Auckland, New Zealand, Jon (Jenn White) Thorn of Ansley, Nebraska, Nicole (Rodney Sr) Bonton of Centennial, Colorado, Roderick “Bob” (Michelle Morgan) Thorn of Ashburton, New Zealand, and her sister, Patricia Stranger of Bel Air, Maryland. She leaves to mourn her memory 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews.
