Funeral Services for Kenneth Jackson Jr., age 74

May 27, 1947 - October 24, 2021
Kenneth Charles Jackson Jr., 74, of Lincoln, Neb. passed away Oct. 24, 2021, with complications from Agent Orange.
He was born May 27, 1947 in Broken Bow to Kenneth C. and Pauline (Prescott) Jackson. Sr.
Ken was an avid outdoors man who retired from the Department of Agriculture as Program Manager (Feed, Fertilizer and Ag Lime).
He was very proud to be an Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
Ken enjoyed classic cars, owning one himself,  a 1953 Mercury convertible.
He was a member of Sesostris Shrine and East Lincoln Masonic Lodge #210. Kenny was a selfless man who volunteered his time as a “Roadrunner” for the Shrine, taking ill children on trips to the Shriner’s Hospital in Minnesota.
Ken worked as a funeral assistant with Lincoln Memorial doing whatever would need to be done to help families. He would never turn away from lending a helping hand.
Ken was a huge Husker fan and found it important to try to have all of his family together to watch the game.
His family includes wife Marilyn of 53 years; sons Jeffrey (Valerie) and Jason (Dawn) grandchildren: Jessica, Carmen, Charles, Shellbi, Ava and Nathan, all of Lincoln.  Kenny is also survived by his brother George (Pat) Jackson and cousin Alberta Crawley, all of Broken Bow; sisters Louise Jackson of Omaha and Sandra (Allan) Satchell of Tennessee. Kenny had numerous extended family members and friends who miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard.
Celebration of Life was 9 a.m., Friday, Oct. 29 at Roper and Sons in Lincoln. A livestream link was available. Pastor Ray Norris officiated. Burial followed the ceremony at 11 a.m. in the Omaha National Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Sesostris Shrine Transportation Fund. Condolences can be posted online at roperandsons.com.
