Our Mom was born to Harold James (Bud) Trotter and Frances Annie (Beverly) Trotter of Berwyn, NE on July 14, 1946. Out of 5 Trotter children, she was the only child born in a hospital. She attended the one-room schoolhouse, Happy Hallow, and then went to BBHS where she graduated from high school in 1964. She went to Kearney State College for 1 year where she was on the synchronized swimming team.

She was united in marriage to Harry Warren Winbolt on May 28, 1965. Three daughters were born to this union Christina, Becky, and Jacqueline. She was a stay at home mom and worked several part-time jobs in the community. In 1983, Harry & Donna bought the Tumbleweed Cafe, where she had met Harry 19 years earlier as his waitress.  They also purchased Bow Oil Station and the couple worked together with their family and so many of their friends for 18 years. Donna retired in 2000 and worked part-time at the Tumbleweed, Trotter Whoa & Go, and Taco John’s.

Our Mom never met a stranger and everyone she loved she made them feel like family. She opened her home as a foster parent and anyone who needed a place to stay.

Her hobbies were being a Grammy, playing bridge, and attending ballgames near and far. She taught swimming lessons for years at the pool and loved having her nieces and nephews come to stay with her so she could teach them to swim. She also loved to travel; Jerusalem, Ireland, Germany, Africa, England, Australia, Netherlands, Costa Rica, Mexico, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Alaska, Hawaii, and many more. One of her greatest memories was being baptized again in the Jordan River in June 2014.

Our Mom loved her church and serving the Lord. She volunteered in the Awana program, where she taught the kindergartners as a Sparks leader.  She started a community-wide non-denominational group called “Ladies Night Out” held once a month so women of all ages could get together and worship and serve the Lord. She was also and was involved in several Bible Studies.

She is proceeded in death by her husband of 40 years Harry, her parents Bud & Frances, her brother Frank (Babe), her brother in law Ray Petersen, and her brother in law Robert (Bob) Seeger.

She is survived by Chris (Jeff) Kinkade-Platter, Becky (Lance) Rankin, Jacquie (Bret) Watkins all of Lincoln. 9 Grandchildren MaKenna (Corey), Jakobi, Shawn, Anastacia, Joshua, Tanner, Alexandra, Bryn & Maci. One great-grandson Barrett and another great grandbaby on the way. Her siblings Beverly JoAnn Petersen of Kearney, Bonnie Jean Seeger of Johnson Lake, and James (Fuzz) & Sis Trotter of Arcadia. Her in-laws Robert (Swede) & Dottie Winbolt of LaVista, Helen Seevers of Broken Bow, and many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
