Bennie Rex Ferguson age 74, passed away January 31, 2018, in Ashland, Nebraska.
Memorial services for Bennie will be May 18, 2018, at 10:00 am in the Govier Brothers Chapel with Pastor Ryan Findley officiating. Inurnment will be at the Ansley Cemetery in Ansley, Nebraska. Govier Brothers are in charge of arrangements. Online condolences can be left at www.govierbrothers.com
Bennie Rex Ferguson was born June 16, 1943, in Ansley, Nebraska to Elmer A. and Goldie M. (Rhoades) Ferguson. He was the eighth child, he was the older of a twin sister Betty.
Bennie started school at the District 205 Harris in 1948, and the Valley View, Upper Cat Creek, Burr Oak, Kearney and graduated in 1962, from Ansley High School. After High School, Bennie began working construction for Howard Coble. In 1963 he started at B-D in Broken Bow, NE. Bennie married Peggy Lucas June 13, 1965. To this marriage a son, Todd Rex was born on August 11, 1966. Bennie and Peggy later divorced. Bennie spent a lifetime in poor health and resided many years in facilities to care for his health.
Bennie is survived by son Todd Ferguson of Kenesaw, Nebraska, four brothers, Lyle, Don, and Lawrence Ferguson of Ansley, Nebraska and Norman Ferguson of Broken Bow, Nebraska, two sisters, Evelyn Walters of Ansley, Nebraska and twin sister Betty Johnson of Broken Bow, Nebraska.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Goldie, a baby sister, and brother Ralph Ferguson.
