Celebration of Life Celebration for Colleen McDaniel
April 30, 1953 - December 22, 2019

On December 22, 2019 our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Colleen McDaniel, left the confines of this world and entered into the marvelous rest and everlasting, unconditional loving arms of our Lord and Savior.

Colleen, the eldest of four children, was born on April 30, 1953 in Fairbury, Nebraska to Fred and Melva Warren. Her youth was spent on her family’s ranch in the heart of the Sandhills near Dunning, Nebraska.  Many idyllic days were spent working with her family, driving cows and riding her favorite buckskin horse, Nickel. From an early age, Colleen developed a fervent love for and earnest desire to serve the Lord. After her graduation from Nebraska Christian High School she attended college in Hesston, Kansas where she graduated with a degree in nursing.  Colleen worked in various hospitals around the country always with a concern for the welfare of the patients she served. She cared for others through nursing for over 35 years finishing her career in Mississippi. In her later years Colleen enjoyed serving in her home church in any way she could, all while praising and glorifying her Heavenly Father. She had many gifts, interests and talents from sewing, reading and drawing, (especially horses for her grandchildren) to creative and delicious home cooking and playing the piano.  Colleen was incredibly sweet and humble in every way. Her faith in Christ through the years has been a testimony to all who knew her.

Colleen was joyfully reunited in Heaven with her father, Richard Victor Fredrick Warren and her mother, Melva Jean Beecher Warren.

Left to honor and remember her are her three children-her precious blessings-Melissa Seymour Hopper of Gulfport, MS, Lester Jeremiah McDaniel of Anaheim, CA, and Mary Ruth (Larry Harrell) McDaniel of Columbia, MS, nine grandchildren, Nicholas (Elizabeth) Seymour, Kayleigh (Jacob) Anderson, Lauren Hopper, Mayim McDaniel, Aiden, Avari, Austin, A’Noah and Auriyana Harrell, great grandchild Everleigh Anderson and her sibling soon to be born, two sisters, Melody (Dean) Coleman and April Warren, brother R.V. (Gretchen) Warren and a whole host of nephews, nieces, and friends.

Celebration of Life Services were held in Kokomo, MS on December 27, 2019 with Pinehaven Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, MS in charge of arrangements.  A private burial will take place in Nebraska at a later date
