In volleyball action broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM Tuesday night, the Mullen Lady Broncos went 2-0 at the Anselmo-Merna triangular to improve to 3-0 on the season. In the opening match of the night, Mullen used a 6-0 run to close out the opening set winning 25-18 over Anselmo-Merna and then closed it out in the 2nd 25-16. Samantha Moore had 9 kills to lead Mullen and Hadlee Safranek had 6 kills in the match for AM. Mullen would face South Loup in match #2. The Lady Broncos took the opening set 25-18 and then overcame a deficit in the 2nd set to come back and win 26-24. Samantha Moore again led the way for Mullen with 12 kills in the match while Jaedyn Bubak paced South Loup with 9 kills. In the final match of the night, South Loup held off Anselmo-Merna in straight sets 25-22, 25-21. Jadeyn Bubak had 8 kills in the match for South Loup with Calyn Laible and Laney Badgley each collecting 7. Hadlee Safranek would lead the AM attack finishing with a team high 5 kills in the match. South Loup is now 1-2 on the season and Anselmo-Merna is now 1-4.
