The Broken Bow volleyball team ran its winning streak to 22 with two wins at the Bow Invite on Tuesday. In the opening round, Bow defeated Valentine in straight sets 25-13, 25-11. Callie White, Kali Staples, and Emma Schall each had 5 kills in the match to lead the Broken Bow attack. Broken Bow would face Mullen in the championship match. The Lady Broncos, fresh off their MNAC tournament title over the weekend, pushed the Lady Indians to three sets. Broken Bow won the first set 25-18 but Mullen came back to tie the match winning the 2nd set 25-20. Bow would then prevail in the third 25-14 to improve their overall record to 24-3. Kya Scott had 12 kills in the match to lead Broken Bow. Broken Bow will play Friday at the Southwest Conference tournament in McCook.
In a match broadcast on KBBN radio Tuesday night, the Twin Loup Wolves picked up their 17th win of the season by outlasting Arcadia/Loup City 3 sets to 1. ALC took the first set 25-17. Twin Loup took set two 25-18. Won the third 25-17 and held on to close out the match in the fourth 25-23.
