Central Nebraska’s Sports Source presents live coverage of area high school volleyball tonight as Anselmo-Merna will host South Loup and Mullen for an area triangular. The Lady Coyotes began their season Saturday at the Overton tournament. AM defeated Maxwell in the opening round in straight sets but fell to Central Valley in the semifinals then lost to North Platte St. Pat’s in the third place consolation match in two tight sets 26-24, 25-22. South Loup started their season Saturday with a best 3 out of 5 match against Elm Creek which went the distance. Elm Creek was able to claim the victory in the fifth 15-7. Mullen is 1-0 this season with a straight set win over Maxwell back on August 27th. Tonight’s matches will feature AM vs Mullen, Mullen vs South Loup, and South Loup vs AM. All three matches will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com with the opening match scheduled for 5:30.
