Tycen Bailey of Ansley/Litchfield MVP in New West All Star Classic

The New West All Star Classic concluded Friday with its girls and boys all star basketball games featuring athletes from the Southwest Conference, Fort Kearny Conference, Republican Plains Athletic Conference, and Lou Platte Conference.  Friday’s games featured the SWC vs Lou Platte and the FKC vs RPAC.

Tycen Bailey of Ansley/Litchfield helped lead the Fort Kearny Conference to victory in the boys all star game.  The FKC edged the RPAC 71-68 with Bailey being voted the game’s MVP.  Jeff Cunningham of Ansley/Litchfield and Carson Rohde of SEM were also members of the FKC roster.  In the other boy’s contest, the Lou Platte Conference defeated the SWC 60-59.  Trent Rasmussen of Centura was the game’s MVP.  Dylan Baum of Broken Bow played for the SWC all stars and Drew Lewandowski played for the Lou Platte conference.

The Lou Platte Conference defeated the Southwest Conference 51-34 in the girls all star game.  Kiernan Paulk of Wood River was the game’s MVP.  Kali Staples and Kassidy Cyboron of Broken Bow were among the players on the SWC roster.  The Fort Kearny Conference defeated the RPAC in the other girls contest 44-39.  Haylee Sandman of Wauneta Palisade was the game’s MVP.

Proceeds from the All Star Classic went to benefit the Nebraska Kidney Association
