Tryon Calleroz of Arcadia/Loup City went 2-1 during the opening rounds of the Class C state wrestling tournament in Omaha on Friday. Calleroz won his opening match by a 10-4 decision over Carter Springer of Milford. Calleroz then lost 11-5 to Tanner Schneiderheinz of Central City in the quarterfinals. Calleroz down into the consolation bracket where he defeated Dedrick Dowding of Palmyra 10-5 to stay alive in the tournament. Calleroz will wrestle in the 3rd round of consolations which is scheduled to begin at 1 pm on Saturday.
