Broken Bow will be among the teams competing today at the Southwest Conference cross country championships today at the Wildhorse Golf Course at Gothenburg. Other SWC teams include Ainsworth, Valentine, Cozad, Gothenburg, Minden, Ogallala, and McCook. Today’s meet is scheduled to begin at 4 pm.
The Broken Bow volleyball team travels to Ogallala today for a triangular with Ogallala and Minden. Broken Bow is 17-3 on the season, Ogallala is 19-8, and Minden is 8-13. Other area volleyball matchups scheduled for today include: South Loup at Southern Valley ; Ansley/Litchfield at Loomis triangular with Loomis and Overton. Twin Loup at Riverside triangular with Riverside and Burwell ; Arcadia/Loup City at Ord ; Anselmo-Merna at Central Valley triangular with Central Valley and Spalding Academy ; Mullen vs Leyton ; Sandhills Valley vs Medicine Valley ; Sandhills/Thedford at St. Mary’s triangular with St. Mary’s and North Central ; Gothenburg at Lexington triangular with Lex. and McCook.
A couple of area football games are on the calendar today as well. The 4-2 Anselmo-Merna Coyotes will host undefeated Burwell tonight at Clark Adams Field and Mullen hosts Leyton.
