The brackets and pairings have been released for the Southwest Conference basketball tournament which begins on Monday (1/27). Broken Bow is the top seed in the girls tournament. The two time defending SWC tournament champions will host Cozad in the opening round Monday night at the Indian gym. Tip off is scheduled for 6pm. Other opening round games in the girls tournament include Ainsworth (#4) vs Valentine (#5) ; Gothenburg (#3) vs McCook (#6) ; and Ogallala (#2) vs Minden (#7).
Ogallala is the top seed in the boys tournament and will host Broken Bow in the opening round. The game will played Monday (1/27) with tip off scheduled for 6:15 MT (7:15 central). Other opening round games in the boys tournament include Ainsworth (#4) vs Gothenburg (#5) ; Minden (#3) vs Cozad (#6) ; McCook (#2) vs Valentine (#7).
The semifinals will be played on Friday (1/31) with the 3rd place consolation and championship games to be played Saturday (2/1) at North Platte Community College.
First round consolation games will be played on Thursday (1/30) in Gothenburg.
The Broken Bow girls opening round game vs Cozad will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM and on kcni1280.com. Central Nebraska’s Sports Source will then broadcast all remaining Broken Bow boys and girls games from the tournament on either KCNI or KBBN radio.
