Sub District Volleyball Area Scores : Broken Bow, Anselmo-Merna, South Loup, and Mullen Advance

 

The Broken Bow volleyball team claimed the C1-10 sub district championship by defeating O’Neill 3 sets to 1 Tuesday night at the Indian gym in Broken Bow.  The Lady Indians dropped the first set 25-21 but came back to win the second set 25-14, took the lead winning the third set 25-18, and then closed it out in the fourth set winning 25-12.  Kya Scott had a match high 21 kills and Kali Staples had 10 for the Lady Indians.  Kailyn Scott finished with 43 assists.  With the victory, Broken Bow advances to the class C1 district finals which will take place on Saturday.

Anselmo-Merna qualified for the class D1 district finals by holding off Ansley/Litchfield in straight sets 25-16, 25-22, 25-23 to win the D1-10 sub district final.

South Loup (Callaway/Arnold) def. Hi-Line, 25-19, 25-20, 25-14 (3-0) to claim the C2-11 sub district championship.  The Lady Bobcats will advance to the Class C2 district finals to be played on Saturday.

Mullen def. Arthur County, 25-9, 25-18, 17-25, 25-11 (3-1) to win the D2-10 sub district title.  The Lady Broncos qualify for the Class D2 district finals.

SEM saw its  season come to an end at the D2-8 sub district tournament in Bertrand.  The Lady Mustangs fell to top seed Bertrand 25-15, 25-13, 23-25, 25-14 (3-1).

Twin Loup fell to top five ranked Chambers Wheeler Central in the D2-6 sub district final.  CWC def. Twin Loup, 25-9, 25-19, 25-9 (3-0).
