Steven Dent Visits with Territorial Rodeo Update

The coronavirus pandemic has had an impact on just about every aspect of life and has certainly hit the sports world hard.  Sports fans and athletes are in limbo right now wondering when competition in their favorite sport will return.  The sport of rodeo is no exception.

Every Friday KCNI radio airs the Territorial Rodeo Update.  The show usually runs down results and updates the current PRCA standings with a focus on the performance of cowboys and cowgirls in this region.  Since there have not been any results to announce the report has featured interviews with some of the regions top talent.  A couple weeks ago the show’s guest was area cowboy Steven Dent.  Dent was a standout athlete for Mullen high school and has turned into one of the top bronc riders in the nation.  Dent is a 10 time national finals rodeo qualifier and his career PRCA earnings have eclipsed $1.75 million.  During the interview, Dent was asked when he thought rodeo competition might return.

Dent says that his unbridled passion and love for the sport has been one of the major keys to his success.
