The NSAA State Wrestling Championships begin Thursday at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha. The first session will feature classes B & C. First round matches are scheduled to begin at 9:30am with the quarterfinals to follow. Classes A & D will be featured in the second session beginning with first round matches at 4pm followed by the quarterfinals. Central Nebraska’s Sports Source will provide live coverage of all area matches Thursday through Saturday. Coverage can be heard on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com beginning at 9:20 Thursday morning.
Three area teams have qualified for the state wrestling dual championships which will take place on Saturday, February 24 at the University of Nebraska-Kearney, Health & Sports Complex. Broken Bow qualified as the #3 seed in Class C. Burwell and Mullen qualified in Class D. Burwell is the top seed and Mullen the #2 seed. Classes B & C will hit the mats first at 9am followed by Classes A & D at 10:30. KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com will provide live coverage of the three teams through the tournament.
