The 18u Bow Spirit Blue softball team suffered 3 tough losses on Saturday during the State Tournament.

On Saturday evening, the Spirit Team gave up 7 runs in the first inning and were never able to recover as Wynot cruised to a 13-2 victory.  However, Broken Bow did muster some offense as Victoria Griffith, Maggie Kirkpatrick, Faith Connley and Summer Yarrington all registered a hit, while Yarrington and Mahala Sanchez each tallied a RBI.  Griffith pitched all three innings for Broken Bow and struck out three batters.
Earlier in the day on Saturday, the Spirit Blue squad lost as Creighton pulled away with a big 3rd inning output.  Creighton won the game by a score of 15-1 after tallying 11 runs in the 3rd inning alone.  Griffith, Kirkpatrick and Yarrington all were credited with hits in the loss.
On Saturday morning, the Friend Lady Bulldogs beat Bow Blue by a score of 16-1.  Maggie Kirkpatrick was a standout in the early game as she tallied a run scored, a hit and an RBI in her only at-bat.
