Mullen hosted its high school boys golf invite on Wednesday. South Loup was the team champion with a 383 team score. Hyannis was 2nd (385), Paxton was 3rd (387), and the Broken Bow JV’s were 4th (421). The individual champion was Colbi Smith of South Loup who had the low round of the day with a 74. Brendon Walker of Mullen was 2nd with a 76 and Brett Downing of Sandhills/Thedford placed third with an 83. Others from the area who finished in the top 15 included : Hagen Campbell of the Broken Bow JV’s 6th with a 94, Cole Kramer of Sandhills Valley 7th with a 95, Dawson Doggett of South Loup 10th with a 98, Colin Cooksley of Anselmo-Merna 11th with a 99, and Ethan Hardin of Mullen was 14th with a 100.
