The South Loup boys track team won the team championship at the Elwood Track Invite Thursday with a team leading 115 points. The South Loup girls finished third in the team race behind champion Maxwell and runner up Bertrand. South Loup won the combined championship. South Loup’s Jessie Sallach won the girls shot put and the South Loup girls won the 4X100 meter relay.
On the boys side, South Loup swept the relays winning the 4×100, 4×400, and the 4×800. South Loup produced three individual champions as well. Kalen Dockweiler was champion in the 800 meter run. Cooper Taylor took gold in the 3200 meter run and Landon Furne was champion in the 200 meter dash.
