The South Loup Bobcats will host Ansley/Litchfield Friday night in the KBBN Area 8 Man game of the week. Ansley/Litchfield will look to bounce back following last week’s loss to top five ranked Sandhills/Thedford Knights. Ansley/Litchfield is 4-2 this season and is right in the the thick of the Class D2 state playoff picture with two games remaining in the regular season. Head coach Kurt Kulhanek visited with KCNI/KBBN sports about Friday’s matchup with South Loup.
South Loup is still looking for its first win of the season. South Loup has battled through injuries and other adversity this season. Central Nebraska’s Sports Source visited this week with South Loup head coach Mat Jagelar who said the one thing that has been constant this season has been the effort and work that the kids put in each and every week.
Friday’s game between South Loup and Ansley/Litchfield will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com with coverage beginning with the Consolidated Companies Friday Night Lights pregame show at 6 p.m. The kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Callaway.
