South Loup Volleyball Enters OWH Top Ten, Broken Bow #8 in C1, and Mullen #9 in D2

The South Loup volleyball team enters the Class C2 top ten rankings at #7 this week according to the Omaha World Herald.  The Lady Bobcats have won 9 of their last 10 matches and are now 11-5 on the season.  South Loup’s only loss during that stretch is to #4 ranked Overton.  South Loup will host Ansley/Litchfield tonight at Arnold.  The Lady Spartans are 6-8 this season.  This will be the first meeting between the two this season.  Tonight’s match will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com.  The opening serve for the varsity match is scheduled for 6:30.

The Broken Bow Lady Indians are ranked #8 in Class C1 this week by the publication.  After starting the season 2-3, Bow has won eleven in a row.  Broken Bow will next play Thursday at the Ravenna triangular with Ravenna and Holdrege.

Mullen is ranked #9 this week in Class D2.  The Lady Broncos suffered just their second loss of the season last weekend at the Brady tournament falling to Anselmo-Merna in the semifinals.  Mullen will play at North Platte St. Pat’s tonight.

Top ranked teams this week according to the OWH include Elkhorn South – Class A, Omaha Skutt – Class B, Wahoo – Class C1, Norfolk Lutheran NE – Class C2, Pleasanton – Class D1, Diller-Odell – Class D2

Other area volleyball matchups scheduled today include: Twin Loup vs. Stuart ; Arcadia/Loup City at Burwell ; SEM at Medicine Valley ; Sandhills/Thedford at Arthur triangular with Arthur County and Paxton ; Cozad at home triangular with McCook and Cambridge ; Gothenburg at Chase County triangular with Chase County and Perkins County
