South Loup Claims Both Boys and Girls Team Titles at Elwood Track Invite

The South Loup girls and boys track teams had a big day at the Elwood Track Invitational Thursday as they claimed both team titles.

The Lady Bobcats took the girls title with a team high 128 points with Bertrand coming in second with 82 points.  Jadeyn Bubak won both the 100  and 200 meter dash in times of 12.7 and 27.0 seconds respectively.  Jessie Sallach claimed gold in both the shot put (34′ 9.75″) and discus (118′ 2″).  Taylor Conroy was the girls long jump champion with a winning jump of 15′ 10″.  South Loup dominated the relays winning the 4×100 (53.6), 4×400 (4:42.9), and 4×800 (11:43).

South Loup took the boys title with 98 points and Bertrand was second with 86 points. Leighton Bubak won the boys 100 in a time of 11.3. Kalen Dockweiler claimed two individual golds winning the 800 (2:04.8) and the 1600 (4:59.6). Cooper Taylor took gold in the 3200 meter run in a winning time of 11:04. The Bobcats also took gold in the 4×100 and 4×800 meter relays.
