South Loup and St. Pat’s Win Team Titles at Blevins Memorial Track Meet

Sandhills Valley hosted the Dave Blevins Memorial Track Meet Friday in Arnold.  South Loup won the girls team title with 157 points.  North Platte St. Pat’s finished 2nd and Mullen was third.  St. Pat’s won the boys team title with 102 points.  Mullen was second and South Loup was third in the final boys team standings.

Among the area highlights, South Loup senior Jadeyn Bubak took another step forward in her return from injury as she won the girls 100 meter dash in a winning time of 12.5 seconds.  South Loup’s Halie Recoy won the girls 200 in a time of 27.5.  Reagan Cool also claimed gold for South Loup winning the girls pole vault clearing 9′ 6″.  Samantha Moore of Mullen swept the girls hurdles winning the 100 meter hurdles (15.7) and the 300 meter hurdles (48.5).  Other gold medal winners for the Mullen girls included Brooke McCulley in the 1600 (5:44.5) and Callie Coble in the 3200 (12:23.7).  Brea Branic of Sandhills/Thedford won the girls high jump clearing 4′ 8″.

On the boys side, Jaden Emerson of Mullen won the 200 in a time of 23 seconds flat and won the triple jump with an effort of 39′ 9″.  Other gold medal winners for the Mullen boys included Trevor Kuncl in the 1600 (4:46.3) and Clayton Moore in the 110 meter high hurdles (15.3).  Tad Dimmitt of Sandhills Valley swept the boys throwing events winning the shot put with an effort of 51′ and the discus going 151′ .5″.  Wyat Lambertson of Anselmo-Merna won the boys long jump in 20′ 7.75″ and Matt Dailey of Sandhills/Thedford took gold in the 400 with a winning time of 52.6 seconds.

In the relays, Mullen won the boys 4×400 and South Loup had the winning time in the boys 4×800.  Mullen won the girls 4×800.
