South Loup and Mullen Compete at Mike Troxel Track Invite

South Loup and Mullen were among the teams that competed at the Mike Troxel Track Invite hosted by Hershey Public Schools on Thursday. Chase County won both the girls and boys team titles. South Loup finished third in the boys team standings followed by Mullen in fourth. South Loup’s Kalen Dockweiler claimed two individual golds on the day winning the 800 meters in a time of 2:04.00 and placing first in the 1600 with a time of 4:59.863. Lane Edis of Mullen also claimed two individual golds winning the long jump (22′ 5″) and the triple jump (41′ 8.5″).

South Loup placed fourth in the girls team standings just one point behind Hershey who was third and the Mullen girls placed fifth overall. South Loup’s Jadeyn Bubak took gold in both the 100 (13.103) and the 200 (27.424) and then teamed with Atlynn Witthuhn, Taylor Conroy, and Mya Weverka to win the 4×100 relay in a time of 52.975. Taylor Conroy of South Loup won the girls long jump with an effort of 16′ 10″. Samantha Moore brought home gold for the Mullen Lady Broncos by winning the 100 meter hurdles in a time of 16.527.
