South Loup and Broken Bow Host Annual Track Invites

South Loup and Broken Bow will each host their annual track and field invitationals today.  Several area teams will be in Arnold today to compete at the South Loup Invite.  Among the area teams scheduled to compete are South Loup, Anselmo-Merna, Ansley/Litchfield, Arcadia/Loup City, Mullen, Sandhills Valley, Burwell, and Sandhills/Thedford.  Events are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.  Central Nebraska’s Sports Source will be there reporting on results during the day.  Live hourly updates can be heard on KBBN 95.3 FM following the weather forecast at the top of the hour beginning at 11 a.m.

Broken Bow will host its annual track invite today at Mark Russell Field.  It will be Broken Bow’s first high school meet featuring its new resurfaced track.  Broken Bow track coach Ryan Wetovick told KCNI/KBBN sports that it has been a joy to practice on the new track and now looks forward to showcasing it this week.


Field events begin with the pole vault starting at 12:30 with running events scheduled to start at 2:35 p.m.
