Several Area Athletes Bring Home Gold at Hershey/St. Pat’s Track Invite

Several area track and field teams competed at the Hershey/St. Pat’s Track and Field Invitational at Hershey on Saturday. On the boys side, South Loup swept the relays winning the 4×100 in a time of 46.33, the 4×400 in a time of 3:43.37 and the 4×800 in a time of 9:00.64. Kalen Dockweiller also brought home gold for the Bobcats by winning the 800 meter run in a time of 2:05.35. Nolan Marten of Sandhills/Thedford won both the 200 and 400 meter dash. Marten’s winning time in the 200 was 23.54 and his winning time in the 400 was 53.32. Gage Haake of Sandhills/Thedford took gold in the 110 meter hurdles in a winning time of 16.41. Mullen produced 2 boys champions as Luke Christen won the 1600 meter run in time of 4:57.41 and Tell Spies won the discus with an effort of 141′ 1″.

On the girls side, South Loup saw 2 athletes achieve double gold. Jadeyn Bubak won the 100 meter dash in a time of 12.89 and the 200 in a winning time of 26.95. Jessie Sallach of South Loup won the shot put with an effort of 35′ 1.5″ and also won the discus with a winning throw of 112′ 5″. In the relays, Sandhills/Thedford won the 4×100 in a time of 54.12 ; South Loup won the 4×400 in a time of 4:28.12 ; and Mullen won the 4×800 in a time of 10:57.32.
