South Loup hosted its boys golf invitational on Monday at the Arnold golf course. Sandhills Valley won the team title with a score of 372. Hyannis was second with a 386 and Anselmo-Merna finished third with a 407. Colbi Smith of South Loup was the individual champion with a low round of 78 for the 18 hole event. Collin Cooksley of Anselmo-Merna was runner-up with an 81. Sandhills Valley had three golfers place in the top ten. The team champions were led by Cole Kramer who was 4th with an 85. Branden Powell was 7th with a 93 and Ethan Weems was 8th for the Mavericks with a 94. Others from the KCNI/KBBN coverage area who finished in the top ten included Ethan Hardin of Mullen who finished 5th with a 90 and Aaron Bartak of Anselmo-Merna placed 6th with a 91.
