Riley Dickau set new Bow school record in girls pole vault at Cozad Invite

Cozad hosted its annual track and field invite this past Friday. Broken Bow’s Riley Dickau won the girls pole vault and set a new school record in doing so. Dickau cleared 9’9.25″ which broke the previous mark of 9′ even. Grayson Garey also claimed gold for the Indians on the day by winning the boys long jump with an effort of 20′ even. Several other Bow participants finished second in their event. Matt Ambler was runner-up in the boys pole vault by clearing 13’3″. Tyce Hruza of Gothenburg cleared 15′ to win the event. Lindsay Schauda finished second in the girls 300 meter hurdles and was just 3 one hundreths of a second behind the winner Jaedy Commins of Ogallala who posted the winning time of 47.69. Kevin Linn finished second in the boys 300 meter hurdles behind Minden’s Creed Ehlers and Lexie Foster of Broken Bow was second in the girls 3200 meter run behind champion Lucia McKeag of Ogallala. In the relays, Broken Bow’s Kate Fox, Kali Staples, Ryen Haines, and Jennifer Hilera teamed up to place 2nd in the girls 4×800 meter relay.
