Raiders on a Tear, Advance to 11-0

COLUMBUS – The CCC Raiders on a tear, as they advance to 11-0 in the volleyball regular season.

The Raiders won 4 games over the weekend, and will be back in action again at home on Wednesday, verses Southeast Community College.

Of the 4 wins, Head Coach Mary Young says the final victory over Fort Scott, was a quality way to end the weekend.

“It was really a great win for us.  In set one, we didn’t block well and really let them have an open net, with made it difficult on our back court and difficult for us to get into our offense.  In set two, our block really came to life and slowed Fort Scott down and dictated our success for the rest of the match,” says Young

“I thought Paxton Throne did a good job of distributing the ball and spreading the offense while our defenders came in and passed very well and were able to get good touches on the ball on defense,” says Young.

The weekend victories gave the Raiders a total of 6 wins on the week.
