The Nebraska School Activities Association has released the pairings for boys sub district basketball which begins next week. Broken Bow will compete at the C1-10 sub district. The Indians are the #4 seed and will open play Monday (2/21) against Ord. The two met on February 8th with Broken Bow winning in overtime. The winner will advance out to play the top seed Central City. Centura is the #2 seed and will play St. Paul on Tuesday (2/22). All Broken Bow games from the C1-10 sub district tournament will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM and on kcni1280.com.
Anselmo-Merna and South Loup will both compete at the D1-10 sub district tournament. South Loup is the #4 seed and will face top seed North Platte St. Pat’s on Tuesday (2/22). AM is the #3 seed and will meet Sandhills Valley on Tuesday with the winners advancing to the sub district championship game on Thursday (2/24). All South Loup and Anselmo-Merna games will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com. A special live video stream, accompanied by the radio call, will also be available on the Sandhills Express You Tube and Facebook pages.
Cozad and Gothenburg will play in the C1-11 sub district tournament. Gothenburg is the #4 seed and will play Holdrege on Monday (2/21) with the winner advancing to play the top seed Kearney Catholic on Tuesday. Cozad is the #3 seed and will face Minden in the sub district semifinals.
Arcadia/Loup City is the #4 seed at the C2-10 sub district. The Rebels will face Ravenna in round one on Monday with the winner advancing to face top seed Grand Island Central Catholic.
Twin Loup will be the #4 seed at the D1-6 sub district tournament. Twin Loup will face the top seed Ainsworth on Tuesday (2/22) with the winner advancing to the sub district championship on Thursday against the winner of Burwell vs Boyd County.
Ansley/Litchfield is the top seed at the D1-8 sub district tournament. The Spartans will face the winner of Pleasanton / Overton. SEM is the #3 seed at the D1-8 tournament and will face Elm Creek in the sub district semifinals.
Mullen is the #2 seed and Sandhills/Thedford the #3 seed at the D2-10 sub district. They will play each other on Tuesday (2/22) with the winner advancing to face the winner of Hyannis and Arthur County.
