NSAA Releases Classifications for the 2019 Fall Activity Season – Volleyball

The Nebraska School Activities Association has released its classifications for the 2019 fall activity season in the following sports : Boys Tennis, Girls Golf, Softball, Boys and Girls Cross Country, and Volleyball.  Teams are classified based on enrollment numbers.  Today we post where area schools are classified for the upcoming season in  the sport of volleyball.

Class C1 ranges from Adams Central with a girl enrollment of 116 down to a handful of teams, including Ainsworth with an enrollment number of 58.  Broken Bow falls into the Class C1 classification for volleyball as does Cozad and Gothenburg.  Gothenburg was close to moving up to Class B this year with an enrollment number of 113.  The cutoff number for Class B this season was 119.

Class C2 ranges from Bishop Neumann with an enrollment number of 57 down to a host of schools, including Burwell, who have a girl enrollment number of 40.  Area teams falling into the Class C2 classification this year for volleyball include Arcadia/Loup City (52) and South Loup (46).

Ansley/Litchfield is among the teams that will compete in Class D1 this upcoming season.  Class D1 ranges from teams with a top enrollment number of 39, which includes Sandhills Valley (the new sports coop between Stapleton and McPherson County) down to teams with a total enrollment number of 27.

Area schools in the Class D2 classification for the upcoming season include : Anselmo-Merna, Twin Loup (Sargent/Loup County), SEM, Mullen, and Sandhills/Thedford
