NSAA Releases Winter Activity Classifications

The Nebraska Schools Activities Association has released the classifications for Nebraska high schools for winter activities this season based on enrollment numbers. Some interesting numbers regarding area schools include the Broken Bow wrestling team moving up to Class B this year. Broken Bow and Columbus Scotus have the lowest enrollment number (97) of Class B schools while South Sioux City is at the top of the class with an enrollment number of 473. The Anselmo-Merna girls basketball team will compete in Class D1. AM, along with South Platte and Plainview have the lowest enrollment number (27) in the class. Meanwhile, the Anselmo-Merna boys basketball team was right on the edge of moving up to Class C2 this year. AM’s boys enrollment number is 41 and ranks at the top of D1.
