KEARNEY – The North Team claimed the 61st Annual Nebraska Shrine Bowl in dominant fashion on Saturday.
In the most lopsided Shrine Bowl victory since 1962, the North defeated the South 32-10 at the University of Nebraska-Kearney’s Ron and Carol Cope Stadium.
South’s lone touchdown came on a 54-yard pass from Brayden Miller (Kearney) to Baily Darnell (Auburn) with 4:22 left in the first half. The score made it 12-7 after Gabe Heins (Kearney) hit the PAT.
