FOOTBALL

Will Huffman, Maxwell: Scored nine touchdowns — eight rushing, one receiving — and tallied 437 rushing yards on 26 carries in a 71-44 win over Eustis-Farnam.

Alex Horky, Twin Loup: Ran for 429 yards and eight touchdowns in a 56-26 win over North Central.

Keaton VanHousen and Dylan Soule, High Plains:VanHousen, a sophomore, racked up 553 all-purpose yards — 206 rushing, 255 receiving and 92 in punt returns — and scored seven times in a 62-48 win at Tri County. Soule threw for 325 yards and four touchdowns, ran for a score and made 25 tackles.

Dalton Lewis and linemen, Blair: Ran for 282 yards and a school record-tying five touchdowns in a 76-7 win over Nebraska City. Other school records were 536 yards rushing and the 76 points. Up front were Colton Kesling, Jayden Kempcke, Jake Mathiesen, Will Yost, Chris Zanotto and Gabe Rand.

Zander Gray and Milton Sargbah, Omaha North: In a 49-28 win over Lincoln Southeast, they had their second double-200 rushing yards game. Gray ran for 271 yards and three scores, Sargbah 231 on 23 carries with three TDs.

Jack Strong and Cade Cooper, Lincoln Southeast: Strong threw for 329 yards and connected for three touchdowns to Cooper in the loss to North.

Ty Martinsen, Riverside: In a 74-6 win over Heartland Lutheran, he ran for 173 yards and three TDs on nine carries, threw for four TDs and made 11 tackles.

Dylan Kautz and Kelby Schaefer, Norfolk Catholic: Kautz ran for 235 yards and three TDs in a 48-35 win at Boone Central. Schaefer scored on a 66-yard run and an 80-yard fumble return.

Riley Harms, Jake Sellon and Cody Carlson, Fremont:Against Omaha Benson, Harms was 21 of 29 for 279 yards and four TDs. Sellon had 113 yards receiving with two TDs, and Carlson had 103 yards and two rushing TDs.

Dylan Gentrup, Boone Central/Newman Grove: Threw for 281 yards and four TDs and ran for 141 yards and a TD in the loss to Norfolk Catholic.

Trent Reed, Hay Springs: Leads the nation’s six-man rushers with 1,151 yards in four games after getting 280 yards and four TDs in a 49-36 win over Arthur County. Also made 18 tackles and intercepted a pass.

Cole Schaedel, Lincoln Lutheran: Wide receiver shifted to quarterback because of an injury and threw for four touchdowns and ran for three in a 56-40 victory over Norfolk Lutheran.

Jerome Barnes, Papillion-La Vista: Ran for 260 yards and five touchdowns in a 59-41 loss to Lincoln Pius X.

Peyton Dubbert, Deshler: Completed 24 of 36 passes for 400 yards and nine touchdowns in a 73-48 win at Elwood.

Phalen Sanford, Dundy County-Stratton: Ran for six touchdowns in a 64-24 win at Cambridge.

Cooper Smith, Tri County: Carried the ball 41 times for 409 yards and five TDs against High Plains.

Cole Hanafan, Elkhorn South: Threw for 200 yards and five TDs in the first half of a 61-2 win at Ralston.

Beau Bowers, Wayne: Was 11 for 11 passing for 166 yards and two TDs before sitting out the second half of the 47-7 win over David City.

Spencer Hays, Douglas County West: Had a 75-yard pick-six and ran for 204 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries in a 58-20 win over Conestoga.

Hayden Hatcher, CB Lewis Central: Had four solo tackles and 13 assists as the Titans beat Sioux City East 31-10.

Sam Peterson, AHSTW: Made seven solo tackles and five assists, including two solo stops for losses, as the Vikings held AC/GC to 120 total yards in a 36-0 win, their third straight shutout.

Luke Staley, Denison-Schleswig: Rushed 21 times for 127 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-14 win over Creston/O-M.

Carter Irlmeier, IKM-Manning: Carried 21 times for 134 yards and three scores as the Wolves knocked off Logan-Magnolia 36-32.

Kyle Snyder, Carroll Kuemper: Had 10 solo tackles and three assists as the Knights held Clarinda to 163 total yards in a 42-0 win.

Bryson Duncan, Sidney: Carried 26 times for 252 yards and a score, made three solo tackles with eight assists and intercepted a pass in a 45-35 Eight-Man win over Fremont-Mills.

Hunter Hodges, Riverside: Rushed 20 times for 191 yards and four scores in a 41-7 win over Nodaway Valley.

Kyle Christensen, Treynor: Made 10 solo tackles and six assists as the Cardinals beat Missouri Valley 20-14.
