James Burks, Omaha Burke: Ran for 250 yards and three touchdowns on 40 carries in a 35-28 win over Omaha Westside.

Luke Reimers, Lincoln North Star: Ran for all five Gators touchdowns in a 35-21 win over Omaha Northwest.

Christian Harring, Falls City Sacred Heart: Scored on five of his 10 touches — six carries, four catches, in a 61-8 win over Meridian.

Justin Davis, Hemingford: Ran for 219 yards and five touchdowns in a 51-6 win over Sutherland.

Christian Timm, Eustis-Farnam: Added a kickoff-return TD to his five TDs and 324 yards rushing in a 68-28 win over Hitchcock County.

Charles Johnson, Perkins County: Accounted for 290 yards and six TDs and had 11 solo tackles in a 68-58 win over Dundy County-Stratton.

Spencer Wichmann, Palmer: Accounted for 266 yards and all five Tigers TDs in a 30-8 win over Nebraska Christian.

Kobee Olson and Reno Hunt, Hyannis: Olson ran for 240 yards and four TDs and made 12 tackles in a 60-47 win over Arthur County. Seven of Hunt’s 17 tackles were for losses, including three sacks, and he recovered two fumbles.

Mitch Wingard and Nate Mensik, Milford: The Eagles are 2-0 in district play as Wingard has rushed for 358 yards and five TDs in those games, with Mensik rushed for 314 yards and two TDs, threw for three scores and had two interceptions.

Dalton Lewis, Quincy Nichols and Stewart Cemer, Blair: In a 52-27 win over Plattsmouth, Lewis ran for 197 yards and scored four TDs, Nichols had seven catches for 107 yards and a TD and Cemer was 15 of 26 for 215 yards and two TDs.

Christian Frederick, Syracuse: Against Conestoga he rushed for 149 yards and three TDs and returned an interception 39 yards for a TD.

Nathan Barnes, Clarinda: The freshman made a 28-yard field goal with 1.5 seconds remaining to beat Red Oak 11-10.

Seth Young, Treynor: Led the Cardinals with 10 solo tackles and six assists, including four solo tackles for losses, as the team held AC/GC to 210 total yards in a 14-9 win.

Drew Schurke, Ar-We-Va: In a 47-12 Eight-Man win over River Valley, he caught 13 passes for 183 yards and two scores, returned an interception 35 yards for a touchdown and returned a kickoff 68 yards for another score.

Caleb Bieker and Caleb Brouse, Harlan: Bieker had five solo tackles and three assists, including three solo tackles for losses, while Brouse added three solos and six assists as the Cyclones held Carroll to 101 total yards in a 40-0 win.

Noah Carter, Glenwood: Carried 27 times for 202 yards and four touchdowns to highlight a 409-yard team rushing effort in a 42-20 win over Atlantic.

Spencer Muhlbauer, Griswold: Made nine solo tackles with three assists, and carried 23 times for 96 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-20 overtime win over Southeast Warren.

Chase Devitt, OA-BCIG: Gained 175 rushing yards on 26 carries with two touchdowns in a 30-14 win over Missouri Valley.

Jessup Lake, Logan-Magnolia: Rushed 20 times for 126 yards and a touchdown, and made six solo tackles with five assists in a 25-7 win over Tri-Center.

Ally Thravenet, Beatrice: Had 15 kills in a win over Seward.

Elise Volk, Omaha Concordia: Had 14 kills in a win over Omaha Mercy.

Lexie Petry and Maggie Wettengel, Council Bluffs St. Albert: Petry, a senior, recently recorded her 2,000th career assist and Wettengel, a junior, registered her 1,000th career dig in Tuesday’s triangular with Harlan and Glenwood.

Daiton Martin, Essex: The senior reached the 1,000-kill milestone in Tuesday’s win over East Mills.

Cailey Schaa, Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln: The senior recently recorded her 1,000th career assist.

Olivia Larsen, Sidney: The sophomore recently recorded her 1,000th career assist.

Lexie Holloway, Harlan: In a four-set win over 2-A No. 4 St. Albert, she had 10 kills, 19 set assists, five digs, five block assists and three aces.

Sierra Athen, Red Oak: Slammed 21 kills with a .364 hitting efficiency in a four-set win over Clarinda.

CROSS COUNTRY

Jack Larsen, Omaha Gross: Won the Marsha Koebernick Invitational for the third year in a row, and for the second time had the fastest time of the South Sioux City meet. Gross won the Class B meet for the third straight year.

Nodaway Valley girls team: Won their first meet since their 2009 state championship year, taking their home meet by one point over runner-up Earlham. Sophomore Reagan Weinheimer (fourth) and freshman Sophia Broers (fifth) were the top finishers.
