The Nebraska State High School Rodeo finals began Thursday at the Adams County Fairgrounds in Hastings. Here are some of the area highlights from the 1st go on Thursday.  Cody Miller of Broken Bow sits tied for first in the boys cutting with a score of 145. Madison Mills of Eddyville had the second fastest run in the barrels with a time of 17.954. Ashley Odenbach of Taylor teamed with Cole Dwyer of Burwell to post the second fastest time in the team roping at 7.38 seconds and Kesha DeGroff of Broken Bow posted the third best score in the girls cutting with a 142.

The state finals continues with the 2nd go today. The boys and girls cutting finals will be held Saturday at 8am and the rodeo short go will take place Saturday afternoon at 1pm.
