Class A: Only minor changes to the final regular-season ratings. Two-time defending champion Marian goes wire-to-wire on top. Southeast swaps places with Southwest after knocking off the Silver Hawks last week to even the season series. Burke holds the last spot (despite losing four of its last six) based on those results. The Bulldogs dropped one-score matches to Marian and Millard West and fell 2-0 to Millard North.

Class B: No changes in the ratings, despite Gretna losing 1-0 to Elkhorn in the Eastern Midlands Conference tournament finals. The Dragons won by the same 1-0 score when the two met in late March. How close are the two? In nine matches against common opponents both are 8-1, with 2-1 losses to Elkhorn South as the only setback. Elkhorn outscored those nine opponents 45-4 in those matches, while Gretna’s tally was 48-3.

Class A: As intriguing a postseason as there has been in recent memory for the Class A boys is up next. Nearly every district has a team capable of upsetting the host. Omaha Westside and Omaha South finish the regular season atop the ratings. They are the only two teams to hold the Nos. 1 and 2 spots, justifying that by combining to outscore opponents 115-12 this season.

Class B: Despite losing five of seven down the stretch, Elkhorn South holds on to the top spot. Four of those losses came to ranked Class A teams, including three to teams in the top four. The Storm split a pair of one-score matches with Top 10 No. 1 Westside, too. Gretna leaps to the second spot after closing the season by winning seven in a row and 11 of its past 12, capped with an Eastern Midlands tourney title. Skutt also jumps four spots after beating South Sioux City for the River Cities tournament championship.
