Nebraska High School Rodeo Results – 8/17-18 Lexington

The Nebraska high school rodeo made a stop in Lexington this past weekend for two performances.  On Saturday, a handful of area cowboys and cowgirls took the runner-up spot in their respective event.  Cody Miller of Broken Bow placed second in the boys cutting ; Jentri Hurlburt of Arcadia was runner-up in the breakaway roping ; and Coy Johnston of Stapleton placed second in the steer wrestling.

On Sunday, the top area highlight was provided by Jace Hurlburt of Arcadia who won the girls all around title.  Hurlburt also claimed the title in the breakaway roping with a winning time of 2.59 seconds.  Hanna Huffman of Burwell won the goat tying in a time of 8.57 seconds and Cody Miller of Broken Bow took the steer wrestling title in a winning time of 4.6 seconds.  Runner-up finishes from the area Sunday included : Jymmie Jensen of Burwell in barrel racing ; Cooper Bass of Brewster in boys cutting ; and Frazier Kaelin of Ansley teamed with Cameron Lancaster of Beatrice to place second in the team roping
