Nebraska High School Rodeo Begins Fall Season

Nebraska high school rodeo contestants were back at it this past weekend as they began the fall season with two performances in Bassett.  Some great performances were turned in by area cowboys and cowgirls.  Madison Mills of Eddyville posted the top time in the pole bending on both Saturday and Sunday.  Mills winning time on Saturday was 20.570 and 20.923 on Sunday.  Broken Bow’s Cody Miller placed first in the boys cutting Saturday with a score of 73 and tied for first in the event on Sunday with a score of 72.   Taci Flinn of Arcadia had the top time in the barrel racing on Saturday at 18.279.  Brody McAbee of Ansley had the only qualified ride on Sunday to win the saddle broncs with a 69 and Cooper Bass of Brewster won the tie down roping Sunday with a time of 10.62.
